How Do You Play Petanque?
Players divide up into two teams composed of three players.
A player throws the "jack" - the target players aim for.
The rest of the game is spent trying to throw your boules closer to the jack that the other team's.
Do You Need Special Equipment?
Yes...
- A petanque set consists of a small ball called a jack
- Six larger metal balls called boules
- a measure
- and a carrying case
But at the Honky Tonk Petanque Tournament, we will provide all the necessary equipment - we just need you! Equipment sponsored by Promotion Solutions, a local event management company.
Equipment will be available prior to the tournament for loan, if you would like to practice. Please contact us for more details.
